A golden sun sets over Hollywood, California leaving the city's corpse to fade black. Lighted by a Helter Skelter moon this calescent summer night has said farewell to a skeleton woven of humble bones and a passionate heart. Outside of these four walls the city flourishes occupied by vampires hungry like the wolf. Lauren Hastings made it here with meager beginnings establishing herself based on pure talent, honesty, and Cobain'esque good looks leaving vultures to swarm. A decade passing on blue color work ethic has established a long resume that continually grows busier placing the Californian in the crosshairs of ad campaigns, magazine editorials, and commercials. At one point Hastings played Brittney Spears in the Justin Timberlake "Cry Me A River Video" causing even Courtney Love to become obsessed with her. Although these moments may build resumes, they don't put war medals on the jacket of a free spirit. Hastings is a nomad living her story rather than acting in it. They say you are what you wear. Beyond a figure adorned with a machine gun tattoo and flowing dirty blonde locks, lays an ambassador of great style. Traveling the world shopping antique fairs, flea markets, and thrift stores have littered her closet with an array of treasures. Today we follow the beautiful creature as she wears her prized possessions trekking from Hollywood's bowels to the southern California desert for the motorcycle gathering, Born Free.
